The geographic edges of Bluebikes change depending on whether you mean the complete system, year-round stations, or the connected Metro Boston core.

What this visualization shows

The simplest version of this question has a slightly surprising answer: Salem Willows Park is both the northernmost and easternmost Bluebikes station.

That result also reveals something about the shape of the system. Salem has its own cluster of stations separated from the denser network around Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, and nearby communities. Excluding that detached cluster moves the northern and eastern edges to Revere.

Seasonal status creates another distinction. The literal southernmost station is stored during the winter, while the southernmost year-round station is nearby at Cleary Square.

The controls preserve all three useful definitions:

• Literal edges: the farthest stations across the complete published system
• Year-round edges: the farthest stations that Bluebikes lists as available year-round
• Metro core: the farthest stations after excluding the detached Salem cluster

Two ways to think about north

Salem Willows Park is the unambiguous northern edge of the full system. But Northern Strand at Salem Street in Revere is a useful second answer: it marks the northern edge of the more continuously connected Metro Boston network and is considerably closer to downtown Boston.

That makes the question more interesting than simply identifying four coordinates. Bluebikes has literal edges, practical year-round edges, and edges that better describe the part of the network someone might encounter while riding outward from Boston.
